Tense and terse! Barby and Bonita!

A simmering, seething air of  anticipation laced with barbed needle, yet no current intention of patching things up, at the Plaza de Armas in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, as WBC female bantamweight champion Mariana ‘Barby’ Juarez and challenger Diana ‘La Bonita’ Fernandez leaned in, glared and stared, as the eye of the storm fast approaches.

At the end of a very public workout,  where hundreds of people gathered, the world champion and her challenger exchanged mirthless “Pleasantries” upping the ante, with interlocking no blink eye contact. No curtain call, no bow…but wow, as you could hear a pin drop!

So, with the expectation, anticipation and irritation building to a crescendo, the world champion climbed to the ring, lauded by a rip roaring ovation, then chillingly and artfully demonstrating the hard won and considerable arsenal of skills that she`ll ruthlessly employ on Saturday.

Next….home town “Bonita” with fans  keen to greet her, knowing  they`re going to witness a battle of wills, backed up by flying fists.
