
Monarch Events and Promotions is about to thrill Ghana at Accra’s Bukom Boxing Arena with a boxing event dubbed “King of the Ring 3” on June 16, 2023.
This event is scheduled to feature eleven bouts consisting of boxers from 8 countries including the UK, Venezuela, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Benin, Ivory Coast, Kazakhstan and Ghana.
In the main event, the World Boxing Council Silver super flyweight belt will be at stake and will be contested by Tasif Khan (16-1-2, 8 KOs) from the United Kingdom and David Barreto (17-2, 16 KOs) from Venezuela.
The co-main event will be a compelling women’s bout as undefeated Nigerian Adijat Gbadamosi takes on Zimbabwe’s Patience Mastara for the vacant ABU super bantamweight title.
The following are the remaining nine bouts:
Felix Ajom of Ghana will face his compatriot Emmanuel Quartey in super featherweight over 8 rounds.
Eworitse Ezra Arenyeka, aka “The King of Nigeria”, will face Benin’s Philibert Sodjinou in an 8-round super middleweight bout.
Victor Beneth of Nigeria will face his Zimbabwean counterpart, Anele Bafana, in an 8-round light heavyweight contest.
Prince Oko Nartey of Ghana will face Ivorian Adama Kone in an 8 rounder super middleweight.
Henry Malm will face Collinson Korley in an 8-round super welterweight.
Temirzhan Baimolda from Kazakhstan will face Issa Aliyah Phiri from Zimbabwe in an 8 round 140lb contest.
Fosu Timothy of Ghana will take on Sule Keke of Benin in a 6-round welterweight bout.
The final two bouts will feature Ghana’s undefeated super lightweight prospect Faisal Abubakari aka “Poncho Power” in a 6-round super lightweight contest against an opponent to be announced; and British Ede Omoregie will face a rival to announce in 4 rounds in light heavyweight.
