Takuma Inoue will make the first defense of his WBC bantamweight world title on May 2 at the Tokyo Dome.
Inoue won the title in November 2025 after Junto Nakatani vacated the Green and Gold Belt to face Takuma’s brother, Naoya Inoue, in a fight that will take place on the same card.
With the title vacant, Takuma Inoue faced fellow Japanese fighter Tenshin Nasukawa in a tough bout. After 12 rounds, the judges awarded the victory to Takuma Inoue.
Kazuto Ioka has been a world champion on three occasions. The first came in 2011 when he defeated Kittipong Jaigrajang to win the WBC minimumweight world title, which he defended three times.
His second world title came in 2012 when he won the light flyweight championship.
The third time was in 2019, when he became super flyweight world champion.
