Sugar Bert tops the bill at Biloxi  

More than 400 amateur boxers and their families traveled from all over the Gulf Coast to compete in a three-day amateur boxing tournament at Biloxi, Mississippi.

Sugar Bert Boxing is based in Atlanta, but organizes different fights to give fighters, a chance in the ring. Many describe boxing as self-discipline and self-defense.

CEO of Sugar Bert was especially looking forward to the finale  of the tournament because it was time to announce champions: “This is championship Sunday, it is the best of the best. You have more than 400 boxers, more than 200 or 300 coaches that have entered. Parents and those who come from all over the world for  this event. They compete for what we consider to be the best of the best. The WBC amateur championship belt, ”said Bert Wells.

Wells  recalls that the beach and casinos took him to the Gulf Coast to organize this tournament, and it is also a place for people who want to bring along their families. Amateur boxers are preparing for the junior and summer Olympics.

“Many of the fighters you will see at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo have gone through our program. We are the foundations of amateur boxing,” explains Wells.
