“On behalf of the World Boxing Council and the global boxing family, I wish to extend my warmest congratulations to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the success of his visit to the United States. His leadership continues to inspire and uplift the sport of boxing in ways that are felt across every continent.
His Royal Highness has become one of the sport’s greatest champions—an unwavering supporter whose vision has opened new horizons for athletes, fans, and the future of boxing itself. Through the dedicated work of the Minister of The General Entertainment Authority His Excellency Turki Alalshikh , the Kingdom has cultivated a vibrant new generation of fans who embody the same courage, heart, and resilience that define our fighters.
With the Kingdom’s steadfast support, the global boxing landscape has been transformed. We are witnessing the best fighting the best, extraordinary unification events, and record-setting purses across weight divisions that reflect the value and respect the Kingdom places on the sport. These achievements have elevated boxing to heights previously unimaginable.
From the groundbreaking Fury vs. Ngannou inaugural event in October 2023 to the upcoming “Night of the Samurai” on December 27, Riyadh Season Boxing has achieved unprecedented global impact. Over this period, events promoted across Riyadh, London, Tottenham, California, New York, and Las Vegas have produced remarkable results:
In addition to this extraordinary activity, the Riyadh Season WBC Boxing Grand Prix has been promoted throughout 2025, earning two Guinness World Records with 124 fights featuring athletes from 52 countries.
I also wish to thank my friend Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of Diriyah, for his hospitality to boxing and for delivering His Royal Highness’ vision for world class sports and entertainment. “
The World Boxing Council proudly recognizes and applauds His Royal Highness for his continued commitment to advancing our sport and for fostering a dynamic era in which athletes are empowered, fans are energized, and boxing enters its most exciting chapter yet.”
— Mauricio Sulaimán
