Souleymane Cissokho vs Egidijus Kavaliauskas now has a date

After a cancelled fight, we now have a date for the bout.

In December last year, Cissokho and Kavaliauskas were to fight for the WBC silver welterweight title but an injury sidelined the Frenchman.

Souleymane announced prior to the bout that he had broken his hand in sparring.

The bout will be on Saturday, May 10 at the Sipopo Conference Center in Equatorial Guinea and as agreed, they will fight for the WBC Silver Welterweight title.

Souleymane Cissokho won the title in 2022 by majority decision, his opponent on that occasion was Tulani Mbenge. He successfully defended his belt once; this will be the second time he defends his title.

The Frenchman has an undefeated record of 17 wins and 9 KOs.

Egidijus Kavaliauskas has a record of 24-2-1 and 19 knockouts.
