WBC featherweight champion Skye Nicolson is relishing her victory over Raven Chapman in the first WBC women’s world title fight in Saudi Arabia and is already thinking about her next opponent.
Nicolson defeated Chapman by unanimous decision on the Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol undercard, in a bout she dominated.
“I felt like I controlled the fight. I dictated the pace and my timing was spot on. I felt alert and I won. A big part of my game plan was to counter her, feint and out-punch her,” she said in a post-fight interview.
“I’m really excited about what’s coming up. I want to fight Tiara Brown next. I think it’s a tough fight that could be exciting. I hope it can happen soon.”
