Simangele Hadebe for the silver title

South African Simangele Hadebe will face Gabriela “Bonita” Sanchez for the WBC silver flyweight title on April 4.

All proceeds from her fight will go to social programs in the state of Puebla, Mexico.

Who is the title challenger?

Born in Limpopo, South Africa, Simangele “Smash” Hadebe is a boxer who has contested 19 professional fights.

She made her debut in February 2016. Melissa Miller was her opponent in that fight agreed to 6 rounds, the match ended in a draw.

After 9 wins, 3 losses and a draw, she got her first title shot. This would come in 2021 when ahe defeated Thema Zuma by unanimous decision to win the South African flyweight championship.

One fight later, on February 24, 2022, she got the opportunity to fight for the vacant ABU (African Boxing Union) flyweight.
