
The 135 lbs.King Shakur Stevenson, will defend his crown against interim champion William “Camarón” Zepeda.
A fight had been scheduled for February 22 of this year, but an injury hampered the Mexican.
The fight for the WBC 135 lbs. crown is scheduled for July 12 of this year in New York. This will be a duel of undefeated fighters, neither boxer knows defeat.
Stevenson has 23 wins and 11 KOs.
Zepeda has 33 wins with 27 KOs.
Shakur earned the WBC lightweight title after he vacated the WBC super featherweight title. In November 2023, he faced Edwin de los Santos for the vacant lightweight belt. Stevenson took the fight by unanimous decision.
He has had two successful title defenses.
Zepeda earned his interim championship last November when he defeated Tevin Farmer. In his most recent fight, “Camaron” came back to face Farmer and defeated him again.
