Super welterweight contender Serhii Bohachuk defended his Continental Americas title by knocking out Nathaniel Gallimore at Quiet Cannon in Montebello, California.
Bohachuk, born in Ukraine, who lives and trains in Los Angeles, improved his record to 22 wins, one loss and 22 knockouts.
Gallimore started the fight well, showing that he was in excellent fighting condition, but as the fight progressed, Bohachuk’s punches began to take their toll. Gallimore’s punch production began to diminish with each passing round.
The end came in the sixth round, when Bohachuk landed a barrage of punches while Gallimore had his back against the ropes. Referee Ray Corona decided to stop the fight seeing that Gallimore was receiving too much punishment.
Bohachuk, who is promoted by Tom Loeffler, has won his last four bouts since he lost by knockout to Brandon Adams in March 2021.
