Sebastian Fundora Green and Gold Pride

Sebastian “The Towering Inferno” Fundora defeated Australian Tim Tszyu by decision this March in a bloody fight to win the vacant World Boxing Council Super Welterweight Title; this battle is considered by many experts to be one of the best this year.

Sebastian  was the more active fighter, throwing his combinations, pressing forward, knowing that victory was within his long reach; however, Tim never backed down, despite all the problems he had to face.

In this way, Sebastian was once again crowned World Champion of the World Boxing Council.

Today, our proud WBC Super Welterweight Champion attended our weekly press conference and this is what he said about his second stage as the green and gold world champion.

Sebastian Fundora:

”Thank you for receiving us again, I always talk about it with my dad when we come to Mexico. I feel much more welcome here, so I can no longer say that this is a second home for us. I feel at home when we are in Mexico. The World Boxing Council and all of you always welcome us with open arms and I just feel very lucky to be part of this great family.

”You saw my sister’s fight two weeks ago. She, like me, has that Mexican blood that inspires and encourages us to step forward to give you all a great fight.

We are very excited about what the future holds for Los Fundora….Thank you all very much.”
