British Chantelle Cameron will defend her World Boxing Council super lightweight title against Puerto Rican Michelle “Shark” Hernández, Saturday night at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, live worldwide on DAZN.
Cameron (13-0 7 KOs) clinched the vacant WBC belt with a win over Ariana dos Santos Araujo in Milton Keynes, England in October, but her first defense against Hernandez (23-7-3 7 KOs) had to be temporarily postponed, as she suffered an injury.
They fight on the undercard where undefeated WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney (25-0 15 KOs) will defend his title against former world champion Jorge Linares (47-5 29 KOs).
At the official weigh-in held this Friday, Cameron registered 139.2 pounds, while Hernandez was 136.2 pounds.
