
Rosales and Edwards weigh in
World Boxing Council flyweight champion, Nicaraguan Cristofer “Latigo” Rosales, will be defending his crown for the second time, when he faces Englishman Charlie Edwards at the O2 Arena in London.
This Friday the official weighing of the evening took place. Rosales tipped 111.6 pounds, while Edwards tipped 111.7.
Rosales has a record of 28-3, with 19 knockouts. In April, he won the WBC flyweight title, by defeating the Daigo Higa in Japan, and then fulfilling a first defense with a KO against Paddy Barnes, in August.
Charlie Edwards comes to this bout with a record of 13-1, 6 knockouts. This will be his second world title opportunity, since, in September 2016, he was defeated by Filipino Jhon Riel Casimero.
