
Russian contender Evgeny Romanov defeated compatriot Dmitry Kudryashov by unanimous decision over twelve rounds, in a WBC bridger elimination match, where the division’s Silver title was also at stake, at the Khimki Basketball Center in Russia.
Romanov (16-0, 11 KOs) dominated most of the fight, with better boxing and solid defense, over Kudryashov (24-4, 23 KOs), who ran out of energy as the fight progressed.
On the same card, Maxim Voshkov defeated by unanimous decision Magomed Madiev over ten rounds to capture the vacant WBC Middleweight Silver international title.
In another bout, Ivan Kozlovsky (3-0) defeated Adam Kipenga (11-2) by unanimous decision in ten rounds to win the WBC international super lightweight belt.
