On November 9, WBC super flyweight champion Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez will face the interim champion Pedro Guevara at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, United States.
Rodriguez, from San Antonio, Texas, is an undefeated fighter with great qualities such as his speed and punch. He recently stopped former champion Juan Francisco ‘Gallo’ Estrada, in a great performance.
“Bam” has 13 knockouts in his 20 fights; and has defeated rivals of the quality of Carlos ‘Príncipe’ Cuadras, Janiel Rivera, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, among others.
Guevara, originally from Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico, won the interim WBC title by defeating Andrew Moloney at home in Australia, last May, but now he will seek the opportunity to become absolute champion when he faces ‘Bam’.
Pedro has more experience than his rival, as he has 42 wins with 22 knockouts, 4 losses and a draw, and has faced fighters such as Kenshiro Teraji, Oswaldo Novoa, Akira Yaegashi, among others.
Both fighters faced each other for the first time in the parking lot of the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
