We are just hours away from the start of the second stage of the Riyadh Season WBC Boxing Grand Prix, and the 16 fighters from each of the 4 divisions are about to don the uniforms of this grand event once again.
In the first stage, they already had the opportunity to wear the attire that the World Boxing Council has designed for these young talents. The most important governing body in the world of boxing has blended innovation with tradition.
The WBC has established clear guidelines for boxers’ attire, seeking a balance between boxing tradition and the modernity of a world-class event like the Riyadh Season. Participants are expected to showcase a combination of classic elements and innovative touches that reflect the magnitude of the Grand Prix.
Representative Colors
The uniforms include the WBC colors, with the robes featuring green and gold, the representative and traditional colors of the World Boxing Council’s belts.
In one set of uniforms, white predominates with green and gold accents, while the other is predominantly green with gold touches.
Logos and Distinctions
Each uniform will prominently display the official logo of the World Boxing Council, as well as that of the Riyadh Season Boxing Grand Prix. These distinctive marks not only validate the official nature of the event but also reinforce the brand and prestige of the competition globally.
Shorts Design
The shorts will follow the classic boxing design, with a cut that allows for maximum mobility and comfort for the athlete. The length and fit are regulated to ensure they do not interfere with performance or the visibility of punches.
Advanced Materials
Although visually traditional, the uniforms are made with cutting-edge textile materials. These lightweight and breathable fabrics help regulate the boxer’s body temperature, efficiently absorb sweat, and provide an ergonomic fit that minimizes any distraction during combat. The durability of the materials is also fundamental, resisting the intensity of movements and contact.
Footwear Freedom
Regarding footwear, fighters are free to wear the shoes they prefer, without any restrictions, to ensure maximum comfort. This aims to prevent any impediment and allow them to perform their best boxing.
The presentation of the uniforms at the Riyadh Season WBC Boxing Grand Prix goes beyond mere aesthetics. Each garment is a symbol of professionalism, respect for the rules, and the legacy of boxing, uniting athletes from diverse nations under a single banner of fair and exciting competition.
Camera flashes will capture not only the action but also the meticulous detail in the attire worn by the warriors of the ring in this historic edition of the Grand Prix.
