From October 4 to 12, the IV Latin American Special Olympics Games were held for the first time in Asunción, Paraguay, marking a milestone in the history of sport in the region.
The games, which featured 13 sports in competition and 14 modalities, were a celebration of the skill, determination and unity of more than 1,000 athletes from 23 Latin American countries.
Distinguished personalities such as the President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña, and the President of the Board of Directors of Special Olympics International,
Tim Shriver, were present at this great party of inclusion.
The delegation of Mexican athletes was supported by Riyadh Season and the WBC to make their participation in the Latin American Special Olympics Games Asunción 2024 a reality.
The Mexican athletes worked as a team and participated in various activities that encouraged unity and learning, giving their best performance in each of the competitions.
