A Mexican “King” and a British “Superstar” clash this Saturday, to earn the opportunity of having a championship flight and fight of fancy.
Julio Cesar “Rey” Martínez (13-1-0, 10 ko’s) clashes with Andrew “Superstar” Selby (11-0-0, 6 ko’s) this Saturday at the Metepec Fairground, leading an attractive Zanfer show which will be transmitted by Casa del Boxeo, Azteca 7.
This fight is a flyweight title eliminator, endorsed by the World Boxing Council.
Martinez, 24 years old, lost in his debut in October 2015, by split decision, against Joaquín Cruz who was 5-0-0.
And since then he has got 13 victories, 10 of them by knockout, and among his hit list of winds are names as former world champion Edgar Sosa, Martin Tecuapetla, Iván Meneses and Víctor Ruiz.
Selby, meanwhile, represented the United Kingdom at the 2012 London Olympics and is the brother of former world champion Lee. In October he defeated Mexican fighter, Max Flores, and this will be his first bout outside the United Kingdom.
