In 2017 on London Bridge, Roy Larner, a brave Millwall fan fought terrorists armed with knives, suffering serious injuries but showing great courage.
The three assailants armed with foot-long kitchen knives, ran over innocent people on London Bridge with a van, before Roy Larner confronted them. Roy Larner, who nearly died from his injuries, was awarded a medal by WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman in June 2017 for his great heroic act.
Roy was recently honored by the late Queen’s cousin Princess Alexandra, President of the Royal Humane Society, with the iconic Silver Medal for bravery.
Roy said: “After some time, it’s crazy how things are turning out. The sixth anniversary of the attack was just recently and people in my country are recognizing what I did now. I feel very happy.”
The WBC congratulates Roy on his recent recognition and once again recognizes his bravery.
