
World Boxing Council super lightweight champion Jose Ramirez (24-0, 16 KOs) will fight WBO champion and Dallas hometown hero Maurice Hooker (26-0-3, 17 KOs) on Sunday. July 27 at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.
Ramirez has defended his crown twice in Fresno, California, but this time he will have an important challenge when he goes to Hooker’s turf.
” I know that this fight can take my career to the next level. I want to continue having victories at the 140 pounds and prove that I am the best super lightweight in the world, ” Jose said.
“I’m glad that the fight with Ramirez has been secured. I’m sure I’m better than him and I’ll prove it on July 27. I’m going to take his belt and I’ll do it in front of my people of Arlington, ” Maurice said.
The fight will be broadcast live on the DAZN platform.
