Everything is poised for an historic night in Tlaxcala, with the impressive event presented by Zanfer Boxing, who join the efforts of the State and Governor Lorena Cuellar Cisneros, to promote sport and culture with four fabulous World Boxing Council fights.
Surrounding this historic night we commemorate the former world champion Rafael Limón, a boxer who raised the name of Tlaxcala and who was also part of the Mexican army.
Rafael had a short career in the amateur field, but quickly climbed into professional boxing, where he dazzled with his great punching power, with which he won the WBC super featherweight world title.
Rafael says that boxing is his life and with it, he achieved his dreams, saw the world and received the admiration plus adulation of fans.
“I never dreamed of having a house, a car and a swimming pool. Thanks to boxing I paid for my four children’s studies and they are all successful. Thanks to the World Boxing Council and Don José Sulaiman, I am a very happy man.”
Possessor of a poleaxing punch Rafael “Bazooka” Limón was a born knockout artist. “Bazooka” is the only world champion that the beautiful lands of Tlaxcala have given us…thus far.
