
Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol will clash for the undisputed light heavyweight crown on October 12 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in one of the most anticipated fights of 2024, which is presented by His Excellency Turki Alalshikh.

Bivol, WBA champion, will come into the fight displaying his undefeated record of 23 wins with 12 knockouts.
So just who is Dmitry Bivol?
Bivol was born in Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan, on December 18, 1990. His love for boxing began as a child, the gloves became his companions from the age of 11 and since then he lived linked to this sport.
In 2008, he had already won several amateur championships around the world, showing that he had a great future in boxing. His jump to professionalism came in 2014, and he quickly captured the attention of the sports world with his impressive ability to knock out his opponents.

Dmitry won his first prestigious title by conquering the WBC-USNBC light heavyweight by defeating the Mexican Felipe Romero.
After ten years fighting, he has a large number of defenses of his world title, in addition to having defeated difficult quality rivals such as Jean Pascal, Sullivan Barrera, Isaac Chilemba, Joe Smith Jr., Saul Alvarez, Gilberto Ramirez, among others.

Bivol is trained by the veteran Gennady Mashianov, who has coached him for much of his career and although he has added some assistant trainers, he is the one who takes up the reins of his preparation.
