Purple Patch “Green and Gold” Tournament in La Paz, Bolivia

The “Green and Gold” Tournament, an amateur event supported by WBC Amateur, was held with great success in Bolivia.

The championship took place in Santa Cruz from September 10 to 13 at the Jhon Píctor Blanco Coliseum in La Paz.

More than 200 boxers from Ecuador, Chile, Venezuela, Argentina, Paraguay, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia participated in this great tournament, turning Santa Cruz into an epicenter of I nternational boxing.

The boxers gave their all in the ring, while outside, coaches, families, and friends felt every punch, with their hearts in their mouths.

In an instant, silence filled with anticipation, and upon hearing the winner’s name, everything erupted: tears of happiness, shouts of joy, comforting hugs, and proud smiles.

Some celebrated the glory of victory, while others keenly felt the disappointment of defeat… but they all demonstrated the same quality: the true spirit of boxing.

None of this would have been possible without the participation of JF Boxing Society, Suerox Bolivia, the Bolivian Catholic University, the Government of Santa Cruz, the impressive Military Aviation School’s Music Band, the Departmental Boxing Association of Santa Cruz, and the Bolivian Boxing Federation.
