Devin Haney and Regis Prograis will fight a highly anticipated super lightweight bout at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California, on Saturday, December 9, live on DAZN PPV in North America and on DAZN worldwide.
Prograis (29-1, 24 KOs) puts his WBC title on the line for the second time after defeating Danielito Zorrilla at his home in New Orleans in his first defense in April. ‘Rougarou’ became a two-time Green and Gold Belt holder in November when he knocked out Jose Zepeda in the 11th round in Carson, California, and the 34-year-old returns to the Golden State to face the former undisputed lightweight king.
Haney (30-0 15 KOs) returns to his Bay Area roots in his quest to become a two-division world champion, moving up from 135 pounds having become undisputed after defeating George Kambosos Jr. in Australia in June 2022, and then successfully defended his crown twice, once in a rematch in Australia in October and then against modern legend Vasiliy Lomachenko in Las Vegas in May, and now the 24-year-old San Francisco-born fighter can do more history in his first fight on his own turf.
Both fighters were face to face this Tuesday in a heated press conference where the two championseach promised a resounding victory.
Haney vs. Prograis is the first world-class boxing event to be held at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
