The World Boxing Council Lightweight Silver Champion, Mexican Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz fights undefeated Giovanni Cabrera, as a peppery part of the Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. vs. Terence “Bud” Crawford Saturday Showdown at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 25-year-old “Pitbull” with a record of 24-2-1, with 17 knockouts, has achieved important victories since he lost a decision against undefeated superstar Gervonta Davis in December 2021.
In his most recent bouts, Cruz defeated former world champion Yuriorkis Gamboa in April 2022 and contender Eduardo Ramírez in September 2022.
Originally from Seattle and now a resident of Chicago, Cabrera (21-0, 7 KOs) steps into the ring following an impressive victory over Gabriel Flores Jr. in July of last year.
The 28-year-old has defeated seven unbeaten boxers over the course of a professional career dating back to 2016.
The official weigh-in took place on Friday. Cruz registered 134.5 pounds, while Cabrera stopped the scale at 134.2 pounds.
The fight is organized by Premier Boxing Champions and will be televised by Showtime PPV and ESPN Latin America.
