On that fateful day, raging wildfires swept through the neighborhoods of Pacific Palisades and Altadena in Southern California.
It was a devastating event, with hundreds of people losing their homes, including the brave first responders who were fighting to save them.
But in the midst of this tragedy, hope emerged. On January 8th, TORKLAW and the World Boxing Council were the first to take action. They delivered an incredible 50,000 water bottles and thousands of meals to the courageous firefighters and first responders battling the flames.
Now, in the aftermath, TORKLAW, WBC, and the LAPD Boxing team, have united to raise funds for all the families who lost their homes. On June 7th, they are hosting “2025: A Night of Heroes” at the Commerce Casino, where 100% of the proceeds will go towards supporting the first responders.
This special event will be a celebration of courage and community. There will be a boxing match between the LAPD and LAFD, comedy performances, and awards recognizing the heroism of our first responders. WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman has even donated a special WBC Championship Belt to be raffled off, with all the proceeds going to the first responders in need.
Raffle tickets are just $20, and you don’t have to be present to win the championship belt. You can enter the raffle here: [WBC Championship Belt Raffle](https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/wbc-championship-belt-to-raise-funds-for-first-repsonders-affected-by-the-2025-fires).
It’s truly amazing to see the community combine for such an important cause. We’re looking forward to “2025: A Night of Heroes” being a great success, as we honor the bravery of our first responders and support those who lost so much.
