
Former Filipino world champion Randy Petalcorin (33-3-1, 23 KOs), was called in to replace IBF world champion Felix Alvarado on December 23 in Japan to fight for the WBC’s mini-world title against the Japanese champion Ken Shiro (16-0, 9 KOs)
“Randy is doing a great preparation and is reportedly ready to travel to Japan and fight against one of the strongest champions today, namely Ken Shiro. It is a great challenge that we could not refuse. It is a unique opportunity in life for Petalcorin” commented Filipino manager Peter Maniatis.
“Since I started boxing I always wanted to fight against the best in the world and the green and gold belt of the WBC was always in my deams. Now my dream will come true on December 23, ”Petalcorin said.
