World Boxing Council Super featherweight Champion O`Shaquie Foster, visiting Mexico, who has been presented the WBC Interim Lightweight Green and Gold Belt for his victory over Stephen Fulton by President Maurico Sulaiman , says his next goal is bettering, boxing and battering undefeated WBC Lightweight Champion Shakur Stevenson.
At the Tres Reyes events at Iztapalapa and Huixquilucan, accompanied by his Manager Keith Mills, O`Shaquie behaved like a true champion and gentleman, signing bundles of autographs, and taking hundreds of photos with adoring and admiring fans. Gracious. unstintingly generous and gallant, nothing was too much trouble for him.
But in the ring, he wants to cause plenty of problems for WBC lightweight champion Shakur, who is fighting WBO super lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez on January 31st at Madison Square Garden.
O`Shaquie says: ”Hopefully, we`ll get Shakur Stevenson, if he`s victorious. Hopefully we can go to one thirty five and get that fight. I think I`ll be much stronger and more comfortable, not having to shed those extra five pounds. He`s tricky, but I`m tricky too. Styles make fights and I`m convinced that is a fight which I will dominate. Shakur hasn`t yet faced anyone of my caliber, speed, power and ring generalship. That is definitely going to show, when we get in the ring.
”For sure, that`s what I pride myself on. Being able to adjust in the ring and do anything, putting my mind to it, I can do anything and be an adapter. To be the first to defeat Shakur, would be great for my legacy, pound for pound great and in the International Boxing Hall of Fame in the future.
”Being a three times champion is just so great and in so doing trying to dominate every round of every fight. If Stevenson comes back to one thirty five, I`m definitely going to be his Mandatory and try my utmost to make it happen.”
