June 26th, 1993.- Britain’s Nigel Benn defended the WBC super middleweight championship, defeating his compatriot Lou Gent by TKO in 4 rounds. The fight was at the Earl Courts Exhibition Hall in London. Referee Larry O´Connell, intervened to save gallant Gent.
