1976.- Puerto Rican Alfredo Escalera defended his WBC super featherweight title by defeating North American Tyrone Everett by decision in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

1977.- Mexican Miguel Canto defended his WBC flyweight title by defeating Martin Vargas by decision in Santiago De Chile, Chile.

1979.- American Ray Leonard knocked out Puerto Rican Wilfredo Benitez in the 15th round in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this fight the WBC welterweight title was at stake.

1988.- Australian Jeff Fenech defended his WBC featherweight title by knocking out North American George Navarro in the fifth round. This fight took place in Melbourne, Australia.

2001.- Canadian Eric Lucas defended his WBC super middleweight title by knocking out South African Dingaan Thobela in the eighth round. The fight took place in Montreal, Canada.

2011.- Polish Krzysztof Wlodarczyk defended his WBC cruiserweight title by knocking out American Danny Green in the 11th round. The fight took place in Perth, Australia.

2013.- In Quebec City, Canada, local fighter Adonis Stevenson defended his WBC light heavyweight title by knocking out British Tony Bellew in the sixth round.
