1963.-  The Filipino Gabriel Elorde successfully defended his WBC Super Bantamweight title, defeating the Ghanaian Love Allotey in Manila, Philippines. The official result was a disqualification in the 11th round following repeated fouls by Allotey.

1967.- The Japanese Paul Fuji defended his WBC Super Lightweight title by defeating the German Willy Quator via a 4th-round knockout. The fight took place in Tokyo, Japan.

1979.- The Nicaraguan Alexis Arguello defended his WBC Super Featherweight title by knocking out the American Bobby Chacon in the 8th round in Los Angeles, California.

2002.- The Mexican Erik Morales defended his WBC Featherweight title by defeating Paulie Ayala via decision. The bout took place in Las Vegas, Nevada.

2002.- At the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Mexican Jorge “Travieso” Arce defended his WBC Flyweight title by knocking out his compatriot Agustin Luna in the 3rd round.
