1998: At the Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut, American Roy Jones defended his WBC Light Heavyweight title by knocking out Otis Grant in 10 rounds.

2003: Thai Pongsaklek Wonjongkam defeated Australian Hussein Hussein by decision in Bangkok, Thailand. The WBC Flyweight title was disputed in this fight.

2009: In Las Vegas, Nevada, Filipino Manny Pacquiao conquered the WBC Diamond belt by defeating Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto by technical knockout in 12 rounds.
