1990.- Puerto Rican Carlos De Leon defended his WBC cruiserweight title by drawing with British Johnny Nelson in 12 rounds, in a fight held in Sheffield, England.

1992.- Mexican Humberto “Chiquita” González defeated the Dominican Domingo Sosa by wide decision at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood, California, defending his WBC light flyweight title.

1995.- The WBC flyweight champion, Mexican Julio César “Rey” Martínez was born. He has demonstrated his quality and great punch power in the ring, defeating tough rivals.

2007.- The American Kelly Pavlik defended his NABF middleweight title and won the opportunity to dispute the WBC world title in an elimination fight, by knocking out the Mexican José Luis Zertuche in the eighth round, in Anaheim, California.

2018.- Oleksandr Usyk conquered the WBC cruiserweight title, defeating Mairis Briedis by decision, in one of the best fights of that year, at the Riga Arena in Latvia.
