Tracy Harris Patterson, the adopted son of the Heavyweight king, Floyd Patterson successfully defended his WBC super bantamweight crown defeating Jesse Benavides by unanimous decision in a fight that took place at the McCann Recreation Center in Poughkeespie, New York. The Referee was Arthur Mercante Jr. The Judges were Barbara Perez, Francisco Manzano and Steve Weisfeld.
