On this day in history, the great Roy Jones defended his WBC lt. heavy crown

Roy Jones defeated Otis Grant by TKO in the 10th round. With this victory he defended the WBC light heavyweight championship. The action were staged at the Foxwoods Resorts of Mashantucket, Connecticut. Grant was dropped in round 6 and 10 and in the 11 and his corner then threw in the towel. The Referee Arthur Mercante stopped the fight. The Judges were Tom Kaczmarek, Rogelio Perez and Daniel Talon.
