On this day in history, Daniel Zaragoza  re conquered the WBC super bantamweight crown

June 14th 1991

Southpaw Daniel Zaragoza became WBC super bantamweight Champion after defeating Japan’s Kiyoshi Hatanaka by unanimous decision in 12 rounds. The bout took place at the Rainbow Hall in Nagoya, Japan. The Referee was Malcolm Bulner. The Judges were Rolando Barrovecchio, Chuck Williams and Eun Chung. Hatanaka retired form boxing after this defeat.
