On this day in history, Undefeated Jermall Charlo, stopped Hugo Centeno in the second round, to conquer Middleweight title of the World Boxing Council, in Brooklyn, New York.

The first round began with Centeno moving very well, using the ring and evading Charlo. But…just after the offset of the second round, at the 55 seconds mark, a right cross to the head, followed by a rapid burst that ended with a punctuating and devastating left hook, Centeno slumped to the canvas.

Charlo left the ring with an unbeaten record of 27-0 and 21Kos. Hugo Centeno Jr. left the ring with a record of 26-2 and 14KOs.
