Wilfred Benitez defeated Roberto Duran to retain his WBC super welterweight title at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Puerto Rican great Benitez, famed for his defensive skills, unexpectedly went toe-to-toe with Duran, who had won 74 of his 76 fights, 56 by knockout.
Benitez, 23, attacked from the opening bell and dazzled the Panamanian with right-hand leads on the way to securing victory via unanimous decision after 15 rounds.
