1993: In Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Gerald McClellan defended his WBC middleweight title by knocking out Jay Bell in the first round.

1996: The Thai boxer Saman Sorjaturong defended his WBC light flyweight crown by knocking out the Japanese fighter Shiro Yahiro in 9 rounds. The fight took place in Phitsanulok, Thailand.

2005: In a battle between Japanese warriors, Eagle Kyowa defeated Katsunari Takayama by decision in Tokyo, Japan. The WBC strawweight title was on the line in this fight.
