Californian Omar Trinidad will return to the ring to face Filipino veteran Mike Plania, in defense of his WBC Continental Americas title, this Friday, January 17, in the main event of a card that will take place at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California.
Trinidad, from Los Angeles, will arrive at this Friday’s fight with a record of 17-0-1, with 13 knockouts. He is a talented, young fighter with a lot of potential. In his most recent fight last October, he defeated Argentine Hector Sosa on points after 12 rounds.
Plania is coming off an active 2024, in which he lost his first fight on January 31 against Angelo Lee, but then beat Martin Diaz in April and Deivi Julio in October, to get ready for this important fight with Trinidad.
He has a record of 31-4, with 18 knockouts, with 10 years of experience in paid boxing.
The fight is organized by Tom Loeffler and 360 Promotions, and will be televised on UFC Fight Pass.
