Noel Mikaelian conquers WBC Silver title

Armenian Noel Mikaelian (26-2-0, 11 KO’s), defeated the tough fighter from Congo, Youri Kayembre Kalenga (27-7-02, 20 KO’s) by decision, in an entertaining fight at the Studio 69 from Riga, Latvia, winning the World Boxing Council Cruiserweight Silver title.

This match marked a successful return for Mikaelian to Latvia as, in 2018. He lost a very close decision against local star Mairis Briedis.
Noel, who now lives in Miami, trained for this fight at the world-famous 5th Street Gym, where The Great Muhammad Ali once trained. In this fight, he showed an improvement that will undoubtedly bring him closer to contesting for the absolute world title.

The judges’ scores were 118-110, 117-111, 119-109, all in favor of Mikaelian.
