Japan’s Ken Shiro (14-0, 8 KO’s), who’s World Boxing Council flyweight champion, will defend his crown against Mexican fighter Saul “Baby” Juarez (24-8-2, 13), on December 30 in the General Ota-City Gymnasium in Tokyo, And it’ll be broadcast by Fuji TV.
Victory could bring Ken recognition as the champion of the year, after his successful defences against Ganigan Lopez and Milan Melindo.
Ken says he wants to prove he is the best flyweight in the world by closing the year with a spectacular triumph, so he’s undergone the toughest training camp of his career.
Saúl “Baby” Juarez, will have his second chance to contest a world title. In 2016 he fought Thai WBC minimumweight champion, Wanheng Menayothin, being defeated by decision.
