Nery Plata and Sarah Bormann alight and delight

On December 16 at the Weihnachtscirkus in Karlsruhe, Germany, Yesica Nery Plata will face local fighter Sarah Bormann.

Mexican Nery Plata comes to this fight after winning the WBC flyweight title by dominating the Canadian Kim Clavel in Canada, in January.

Nery Plata, aged twenty nine, will travel with the confidence of accomplishing a new feat, since she previously won the WBA title in Argentina by defeating Jessica Bopp. Yesica has a record of 29 wins with 3 knockouts and only 2 losses.

Bormann, 33 years old, has an extensive amateur career and is reportedly keen to become world champion. Sarah will enter the fight with 17 victories with 7 knockouts and without defeat.

Both fighters sent their pre-weigh-in 7 days prior to the fight. Nery weighed 49.4 kilos, while Bormann registered 50.2 kilos.
