
Junto Nakatani will make his fourth WBC bantamweight title defense against Ryosuke Nishida, but it won’t be the only title at stake, as Nishida is the IBF champion.
The fight will be on June 8 of this year at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo, Japan. Junto Nakatini became champion on February 24, 2023, when he defeated Alexandro Santiago by TKO in the second round. He has successfully defended his belt against Vincent Astrolabio and Tasana Salapat, and his most recent defense was against Mexican David “General” Cuellar. Junto has an impressive undefeated record of 30-0 (23 KOs).
Ryosuke Nishida, who has been the IBF champion since May 2024, will seek his second title defense. His first and only defense was against Anuchai Donsua in Osaka, where he won by KO in the seventh round.
