Continuing with the Year of Africa celebrations, David Mwale and Michael Decardi Nelson are competing for the World Boxing Council International Bantamweight title.
The fight will take place on May 24 at the Government Complex in Lusaka, Zambia, Mwale’s hometown.
David “Sniper” Mwale will be seeking a WBC-sanctioned title for the first time. He has an undefeated professional record of 10 wins, half of which have come via knockout.
Michael Decardi holds a record of 8-1-1; his only loss came in his most recent fight, where he sought to become the WBC super flyweight Champion.
The WBC designated 2025 as the Year of Africa to commemorate the history, achievements, magnificence, and splendor of African boxing.
Throughout these months, there have been important events commemorating the African continent; and the Mwale vs. Nelson fight will be next.
