
Jaime Munguía faced Frenchman Bruno “Brunello” Surace for the second time on the Canelo vs Scull card in Saudi Arabia.
Jaime Munguía was coming off the second loss of his career. On December 14, 2024, the Mexican faced Bruno Surace in Tijuana, Mexico. At first, Munguia had the fight under control.
In the second round the Mexican sent the Frenchman to the canvas, the surprise came when after dominating all the rounds, Munguia was knocked out in the sixth round.
Five months later, Jaime got his rematch.
The fight started with the scales tipped to the French, but once Munguia found himself in the ring, he totally dominated the fight.
Having control of the ring, the Tijuana native cornered his opponent in the corners of the ring throwing some very good punching combinations. Although he failed to knock “Brunello” down, he won the bout by unanimous decision.
