Montserrat Alarcón and Chiquita Nolasco regally triumph in “Queens of the Ring” 

Chiquita González Boxing and Decision Dividida presented a great card that was held within the framework of raising awareness for the timely detection of breast cancer.

Montserrat Alarcón started her path to a new world title fight with a triumph, after winning by unanimous decision over Cecilia Mendoza in the main event of the “Queens of the Ring” show.

It was  at the Marbet Hall, in Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, where Montse Alarcón (18-5-2) won with scores of 79-73, 77-75 and 78-74 over Mendoza (8-3 -1), in a fight over eight rounds at minimum weight and that was broadcast throughout the country on the Hi Sports signal.

With more accumulated experience in boxing, Montse effectively used her acquired skills from the beginning of the fight, with better combinations and more accurate markswomanship  against her opponent, who despite her attempts, could do little to unsettle or deflect her.

The former world champion landed powerful combinations and hooks, and with a laser like right hand, landed on her rival who responded in the middle of the fight and at times complicated the actions of “Raya” Alarcón, who was punished in the fifth round.

But Montse regained control in the later  rounds. With her technical boxing and the instructions of former world champion José Luis Bueno, she was most effective, connected with the best combinations and avoided being caught, which in the end gave her the victory that meant the first step towards an important fight that could be with Ángela Nolasco.

Precisely Chiquita Nolasco (11-6-1) faced and defeated Danna Maldonado (5-2), after six rounds in the light flyweight division and which was another of the main fights of the night.

Chiquita Nolasco dominated from the beginning of an intense fight in which no one stopped throwing punches, but Ángela looked more precise and imposed conditions against a rival who was under intense pressure. Danna came out determined to do everything, but her lack of aim and Nolasco’s defense were decisive.

Thus, the first part of Chiquita Boxing’s plan has already been accomplished, which was to see Montse Alarcón and Chiquita Nolasco triumph and now they need to reach an agreement so that they can face each other.

In another fight of the card presented by Humberto “Chiquita” González and that was a women’s match, Alexia “China” Dimas (3-3-2, 1 KO) defeated with scores of 59-55, 58-56 and 58-56 brave Elifeth López, after six rounds.
