The World Boxing Council has added a prominent Italian boxing figure to its annual convention: Michael “Lone Wolf” Magnesi has been confirmed as a special guest for the 2025 edition, taking place in Bangkok from November 30 to December 5.
Held in the vibrant Thai capital, the convention provides a unique opportunity for the boxing community to come together, collaborate on improving the sport’s safety, and celebrate the rich tradition that Thailand brings to combat sports. Known as the Land of Smiles, Thailand is famous for its stunning beauty, rich culture, and warm hospitality.
The 2025 edition will be historic, as WBC Muaythai will join the annual event for the first time, creating a combined celebration that unites the worlds of boxing and Muaythai. Bangkok, a true crossroads of tradition and modernity, serves as the perfect location for this dual event.
Michael Magnesi has steadily risen through the ranks under the WBC banner, capturing the WBC Silver Super Featherweight Title in March 2025 with a unanimous decision victory over Khalil El Hadri. This milestone solidified his status as one of the top contenders in the super featherweight division and marked a key step in his ongoing pursuit of a full world championship. Over the years, Magnesi has consistently demonstrated the skill, determination, and sportsmanship that have made him a respected figure within the WBC community.
The convention will take place at the Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, a world-class hotel in the heart of Bangkok. The agenda includes spectacular fights, an awards ceremony, and a gala dinner. Attendees will have an unparalleled opportunity to interact with some of the biggest names in boxing history while experiencing the rich cultural heritage of this ancient city.
