
Colombian Miguel Marriaga fights Mexican, José “Chícharo” García, for the Fecarbox featherweight championship of the World Boxing Council, this Friday, at the Fit Center, Mexico City.
Miguel will fight “Chícharo” of Saltillo, Coahuila, a young and ambitious boxer who will try to make his mark in this fight for the title.
“This fight is the dream of boxing fans!” Commented promoter Ricardo Maldonado Jr. of Sports Productions. “Marriaga is a beast and he brings a unique style to this fight. He has just moved his training to Mexico City to prepare and train with some of the leading fighters.”
The event features two eight-round bouts: Diego “Azabache” Torres (7-0 and 7KO) from Jalisco against Mexico City fighter Andrés “Pug” Periban (9-7-1 ) and a super welterweight fight between Diego “Maravilla” Carmona (8-1 and 7KO’s) and Carlos “Pitbull” Zavala (5-4 and 2KO’s).
The fight, which is promoted by Ricardo Maldonado Jr., Sports Productions, will be bradcasted on Estrella TV.
