Makhmudov conquers WBC Silver title

Heavyweight Arslanbek Makhmudov, conquered the vacant Silver title of the World Boxing Council and maintained his undefeated record by defeating veteran Carlos Takam via unanimous decision, in the main fight at Montreal Casino, in Québec, Canada.

It was tougher than expected as Makhmudov entered the ring with 14 wins, all by knockout and no losses. But with experience Takam, did a good job in the ring, taking the giant Makhmudov the distance for the first time in his career.

The new Silver champion get the victory with cards of 96-92, 97-91 and 96-92.

Makhmudov dropped Takam 20 seconds after the fight started, and dropped him again in the seventh round. But Takam recovered without problems, thanks to his strength and his experience.
